An interview with actress Laudet Torres
Laudet Torres Miami based actress, is the hottest talent to join the Doris Wishman ensemble. Introduced in Wishman's 2001 "Satan Was a Lady"with a smashing performance as the timid, nerdy "Lotte", she was offered yet another role in Wishman's most recent horror/thriller "Each Time I Kill" this time as "Tildi McGuire". I decided that an interview (and not nearly being enough) was the best approach to unraveling this brilliant petite intellect.

ER: What was your acting debut?

LT: I took one year of drama in High School, but it was just to skip class. My first real acting debut was "Satan Was a Lady".

ER: How did you get the part in Doris Wishman's "Satan Was a Lady"?

LT: My boss's husband was editing with Doris Wishman at the Alliance, when Doris decided to do the movie they needed a nerdy, mousy, character, so they thought I would make a great nerd. My boss's husband asked me to meet with Doris, so she can look me over and decide if I fit the part. The rest is history.......

ER: What techniques did you utilize to develop the role of "Lotte"?

LT: All it took to play Lotte was a pair of thick, black fake glasses. I also didn't wash my hair for two days. The oily hair and glasses made me infamous.

ER: Can you relate to the characters you play on screen?

LT: The two characters I've played are extremely alike. They both wore the same glasses. Yeah! I can definitely relate to them, I can understand what it's like to feel awkward and unwanted.

ER: You just finished filming "Each Time I Kill" Doris Wishman's recent flick, there's a scene that was actually shot in your old High School, What was that like?

LT: I don't remember High School being so small; also there were so many security guards and students walking around with their ID's around their necks. I feel sorry for today's kids.

ER: Some call you fortunate, that you actually had the chance to work with "B" movie legend director Doris Wishman, What's your outlook on this?

LT: I feel humble that she gave me the opportunity to do something so different, I mean I was in an actual movie! I admit I did not know she had such a huge following. A lot of people actually Love her movies. I tell you this much; she sure is a tough cookie for someone so small.

ER: Unveil Tildi McGuire.

LT: Tildi is very unusual. She wants to fit in, but people just use her for the butt of the joke. Kinda like your typical movie nerd except she doesn't become beautiful when she takes off her glasses and puts her hair down.

ER: Name the finest horror flicks of all time.

LT: I am a horror film fanatic, especially those made in the 80's. To pick one would be like asking someone to pick just one car. But the closest to being the best would have to be "The Exorcist".

ER: What are your musical interests?

LT: My musical interests varies from Goth, Industrial, Mod, British Pop, and definitely eighties music in almost it's entirety.

ER: Favorite cartoon / character?

LT: I love the Simpsons, they cover all aspects of life in a bright yellow color.

ER: What compulsions do you proudly possess?

LT: I am very organized, I can take a room and make it spotless in 10 minutes. I can honestly say dust does not have a fighting chance with me around.
